the impatience of stillness

your silence today is a pond where drowned things live
i want to see raised dripping and brought into the sun.
it's not my own face i see there, but other faces,
even your face at another age.
Whatever's lost there is needed by both of us-
a watch of gold, a water-blurred fever chart,
a key... even the silt and pebbles of the bottom
deserve their glint of recognition. i fear this silence,
this inarticulate life. i'm waiting
for a wind that will gently open this sheeted water
for once, and show me what i can do
for you, who have often made the unnameable
nameable for others, even for me.

Ever thought of changing your blog's back drop color? it looks kind of morbid in black even though its your trademark- ' the black blog' ( no pun intended)

disco bowling alleys rock.
[ask Shawna: we are major fans]
second of all-
i always thought the contrast was easier to read
third of all-
i don't think of black as morbid.

Is it just me or does it seem like the first 3-4 posts were written by the same person. They've got the same 'voice', and also the timing: 8:55, 8:57, 8:58... looks suspiciously like consecutive posting by the same person. Very lame ...
